STATEMENT ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EU WHISTLEBLOWING DIRECTIVE
In accordance with EU Directive No. 2019/1937 of 23rd October 2019 on the protection of persons who report violations of Union law (hereinafter referred to as the EU Directive), effective from 15th December 2023, and in accordance with Act No. 171/ 2023 Coll. introduced by PHARMIX, s.r.o. as a mandatory subject in accordance with Article 8 of the EU Directive on methods and rules for reporting illegal acts.
The company PHARMIX, s.r.o. as a mandatory entity, it has developed an internal guideline for this issue, which it publishes on the intranet in the Company folder and using the link provided in the Giriton application form. The Directive establishes an internal notification system as a summary of procedures for receiving notifications, their registration and processing, protection of the identity of the notifier and protection of the information provided in the notification.
Any whistleblower who becomes aware of a violation of Union rights in connection with work or another similar activity (EU Directive) may file a report in writing (electronically or in paper form), or orally – in person (within a reasonable period of time), by telephone or through the internal notification “Whistleblowing Giriton” system.
Illegal behaviour is understood as behaviour that has the characteristics of a criminal offense or misdemeanour, as well as behaviour that violates legal regulations governing certain defined areas (e.g. corporate income taxes, public procurement, economic competition, processing of personal data, the environment, consumer protection and others exhaustively defined areas by law).
The identity of the whistleblower is protected information, the relevant person is bound by confidentiality. The form in the attendance system can be used for notification, or the method of notification can be agreed with the appropriate person.
